What challenges did our customer face?
Our client operated in a complex, regulated environment and faced a customer onboarding challenge. New customer onboarding typically took 3 months of manual work, spanning operations, compliance, and technology. Our client felt that there was an opportunity to leverage a new technology process to reduce that onboarding time and engaged with us to identify quick wins.
What did we do?
Aldemis reviewed the process, and it became clear that there was a significant opportunity for automation. We conducted a 6-month project to clearly identify the onboarding processes and steps, adjust the underlying technology for automation, and ultimately develop an automation tool.
The resulting system consisted of 5 simple steps. An end user can specify the desired output, allowing the automation tool to configure the underlying system and generate corresponding operational and compliance outputs.
Outcome
Our engagement resulted in reducing the 3-month manual process to 10 to 15 minutes of fully automated work. This automated method could support over 80% of onboarding projects, driving an overall cost savings of 78%.
