What challenges did our customer face?
We engaged with our customer as they had a significant technology quality issue and had to abandon 60% of their planned releases in the previous twelve months. The issue was perceived to be poor coding quality.
What did we do?
Aldemis first engaged with the development team full-time, ultimately taking leadership of the team. We spent six months addressing development process issues, leading to an increase in quality and productivity. We then continued to engage with other technology teams within the business (product, testing, release deployment and support) on a similar exercise to improve quality in those areas too. This ensured everyone in the software development lifecycle was engaged in the same process.
From the day we engaged, the business successfully delivered on all its planned releases and saw a 20% productivity improvement and a 15% cost reduction.
Outcome
Our client was able to properly plan software releases to their customers, improving customer confidence, helping the marketing team plan campaigns, and ultimately rebuilding trust in the software delivery process. That process allowed the business to upsell several new features and directly contributed to revenue growth.
